Let's Play Catch Up

So I'm really beginning to notice that it's really hard to blog when you have a baby! I get a bunch of pictures but it takes me forever to get them uploaded and on here. Since the last post Lexi has grown tons and is beginning to do different things. She is pretty much laughing now and will stick her tongue out when we stick ours out. It's the cutest thing. Also, she's sitting in the bumbo! At 2 months! She's such a big girl!

Here are a few pics I took the other day of her...she's just the best little thing!

This past weekend we went back to Potosi. This is us at our nephew, Noah's, state championship baseball game...which they won! Way to go MABA! Also, this was the first time Noah had seen Lexi!

Weekend Fun

This weekend started off early for us! Robert took off Thursday and Friday and we had a long weekend planned! Thursday wasn't such a pleasant day. Lexi Belle had her 2 mont appointment and had to get 3 shots! Poor little thing...she was such a trooper though! She just cried for a little bit in the office and was fine after we left.  Here are her 2 month stats:

13 lbs---97%
24 inches--97%

She is such a little chub and we are so glad! It is amazing how much she has changed! She is laughing and cooing so much! I can tell each little thing she does will be so fun! The little noises she makes are just so darn cute!!

Well, after the dr's office, we headed to Eldo to my parent's house. We dropped LB off and picked up my sister, Cameron and headed to Branson. This was the first time we left LB over night and I was very hesitant. I knew she would be in the best hands, but still...we just missed her! After kissing her about a million times, Robert pulled me away and headed to Branson. Friday Robert, Cameron, and I went and spent a full day at Silver Dollar City. Even though it was pretty hot, we had a great time.

After SDC, we went to the hotel to shower and get ready to meet my parent's at the Branson Landing to see Big Smith. They had an outdoor concert at the Landing and it was great! They brought LB back to us and we had an enjoyable evening listening to Big Smith.

We spent the night Friday night and then headed home Saturday. I had to prepare for a bridal shower my mom and I were throwing for my cousin's fiance, Brittany on Sunday.  The shower went great and everyone had a fun time I think. We enjoyed the planning and fun girl time!

Whew...I don't have many pictures, but here are 3 my mom took Friday night!
(They are all from the Iphone).

Lexi Belle's First Trip to See Her Great Great Grandpa Eldon

Today we went to see my Great Grandpa Eldon. He is in the Missouri Veteran's Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri and is 89 years old. This facility is wonderful for our veterans and Grandpa enjoys being there. This was the first time he had met Lexi Belle in person. My grandparents had shown him pictures, but he hadn't got to see her in person. So, it was a special day.

These 3 pictures were Thursday night at my parent's house. Lexi Belle was smiling at her Uncle E. :)

When we first got there, Grandpa said, "Lay her down here in my bed beside me." It was the sweetest thing. So, I laid LB down beside her and Grandpa spoke to her in this sweet whisper and just stared at her. I picked LB up so he could get a look at her face and he was looking right in her eyes and whispering something (it was so quiet I couldn't tell what he was saying...he is having a hard time talking at times.) Lexi Belle just stared right back into his eyes and then smiled the sweetest little smile at him. It was so sweet and I will never forget that moment.

This is 5 generations which is something we should be very proud of. It isn't a common thing for families to have this and I am very thankful we were able to take this picture. My Great Grandpa Eldon, my Grandpa Larry, my mom, me, and Lexi Belle.

Grandpa wouldn't smile for the group pictures, but he would look at Lexi Belle and get the biggest grin on his face. He said she was "cute as a bug's ear". :)

It was such a great day. I'm so glad that Lexi Belle got to meet her Great GREAT grandpa Eldon. I hope there are many more of these visits to come.

What's Been Happening Lately...

This is going to be a catch up post so stick with me! I never realized how demanding a baby is! Plus, our little princess is slightly spoiled. So, here are a few pics about what has been going on with our little family over the last couple of weeks.

Lexi Belle- 6 weeks

Here she is in her Under Armor outfit!

...and here she is smiling at her daddy. That is a common occurrence!

Lexi Belle is really growing like a little weed. She does something new every day! She will be walking around before we know it. Next week is her 2 month shots...which we are DREADING! I will be anxious to see how much she weighs. She is a porker! We are so glad she is healthy. She is such a great baby!
