Today

Today Ellie & I had a pretty laid back day. She was pampered at the groomer for about an hour while I ran a few errands in town. We came home and laid out in the sun for awhile, but I hate to say it: Ellie isn't a big fan of the heat. Nor am I. BUT the weddin' is this weekend and I don't want to be the "white" bridesmaid (who cares, I know, but sadly I do). RK is in the city today for a meeting and tonight he is going to a Royal's game with some of the guys from work (no, he hasn't converted, but we support all athletic teams from our state, except the Chiefs). SO, it's just me and the El'ster tonight. Unfortunately, laundry will probably be on my agenda.

Only a couple of weeks until I go back to work. Ugh. Where has the summer gone? I wish I were right back here: Maui, Hawaii, like we were last summer...

(that's a picture we took while sitting on the beach at sunset: DREAMY)

And this is Ellie with her hedgehog. She's crazy.

WAYNE THE TRAIN HANCOCK

Last night our friends Kenny and Becky took us to Kansas City to see Wayne the Train Hancock. I had never heard of him (Todd, don't freak, he's from Texan, not Kentucky) but he's really good! The music is considered "Rockibily" and is so fun to listen to. It was a great concert and we really enjoyed it! Here is a video of their band.

and if this guy doesn't make you laugh, I'm not sure what will... :) He was a dancing machine!

It was such a good weekend! We were busy, but we had a lot of fun! The only bad part was having to leave Miss Ellie in her kennel for so long. We got home late and she was READY TO PLAY. Ugh. I stayed up late with her, but Robert got up with her this morning. Man, it's like having a kid! She's totally worth it though. Doing well and sleeping a lot!

Hope everyone has a great week!

As Handy as a Pocket on a Shirt, Future House, & Our New Addition!

This weekend Robert started on his workbench in the garage. He's pretty handy and can build about whatever he wants. He built the garage which we are living in! (I'll post pictures soon so you can see what I'm talking about.) This little project took him Saturday afternoon and a couple of hours yesterday. It looks awesome! It will make the garage tidy and organized, yippee! Did I mention that it was bout 500 degrees while he was doing this? I was sweating just watching! (I helped a little...held boards, brought him water, stuff like that :)

Our Future House!
This is what our house will look like! I absolutely cannot wait. Love where we are now, but this is just going to be more than I could ever ask for! We are in the process of getting the plans drawn, etc. etc. I never realized how much goes into building a house, but let me tell ya folks- there's a lot. I think I'll leave the difficult stuff (everything but decorating, picking paint colors, choosing furniture, etc.) to 'ol Roberto! Luckily, he's good at that stuff. Quite talented--Not to brag ;) You can see the actual plan here! http://www.dongardner.com/plan_details.aspx?pid=1969!

AND NOW FOR OUR BIGGEST NEWS!
One of these little beauties is coming to our house this weekend!!!!!
On Saturday, Robert and my dad are taking a road trip to Fredonia, KS to pick up our new puppy! There were 6 males and 2 females in her litter and these are the two little girls. Another guy gets first pick, so we are unsure which we will get! I'll take either one! Aren't they precious! She is a Brittany and will be 6 weeks Saturday. We have been debating on names, but I love Charlie. I guess we will have to see her to name her, but we are super excited about our new little puppy! I'm sure I will be posting numerous pictures. :)

Weekend Recap

This weekend was one of my best friend's bachelorette party. On Friday night, Robert & I headed to Lake of the Ozarks. We spent the night with his friend, Jeff, on Friday night and then I headed over to the lake house that we rented for the night.

We spent the weekend laying in the sun and having a blast! These two girls are the best. There were 13 of us at the party but these pics are of my girls and I love them! I can't wait for this girl to get married. I have known her and her finace since we were little and I couldn't be happier for them both!

Here we are laying out! This is what our afternoon consisted of. WONDERFUL!

This picture was right before we went out for the evening! We went to Dog Days which is right on the lake. We had a great time!

A Summary of June in our House :)

June has been an eventful month for us here at the Hollinsworth house! The following pictures are some of the things that we have been doing lately.

Our 3 nieces Brianna, Karlee, and Brilee came to visit for a couple of days. We went to the pool one afternoon and these pictures are from that. That is Jackson that Robert is holding. He could only handle the pool for about 30 minutes (in the shade) but he LOVED the water:) We were so glad the girls came to visit!

This is Cameron (my little sister) and her friend Tessa. We went to Big Surf in Osage Beach last week. We had a blast! Mom and I hung out on the lazy river while the girls rode the slides. I have a good pic of mom and I but she made me promise it wouldn't go on the blog. :)

Tim McGraw & Lady Antebellum Concert

Us at the concert

YES! That's Lady A! AMAZING!

And Mr. Tim...Robert was amazed of how good of shape he was in. I was surprised his jeans didn't split! Great show though!

Sprint Car Races- Sedalia

These guys were deep in concentration. I think the hand on the chin must run in the family. They had no idea I was taking a picture. Too funny!

Father and Son

The races were fun. Those little guys are FAST! We all enjoyed them and there was some good people watching ( I did a lot of that). It was a good visit from the inlaws!

This weekend will be pretty laid back...Friday night is a 4th of July Party at my grandma's and then we will probably attend Olde Glory Days which is the annual fair here in Clinton.
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY
