37 Week OB Check-up

We went yesterday for our 37 week visit. Everything looked great. Heartbeat was 140-150 (but she was moving all around so that's not surprising), Step B test came back negative (thank goodness), and the cervix is softening :) My doctor said that she expects to see progress by our appointment on Monday!

My wonderful doctor is leaving May 11-15! Yikers! So, she told me yesterday that when I come in for my weekly appointment on the 9th and am dilated to a 3 or 4 she will gladly let me stay and have Lexi! WOO HOO! Let's hope for some dilation! That would me feel SO much better knowing she would be there to deliver the baby, although I know other doctors would be just fine, too. She said regardless, she thinks I'll go around 39-40 weeks. That seems like an eternity right now, but really it is just a couple of short weeks away!

And this picture is mainly for me to look back on and remember how big I was/am. I see the bare belly pics on other blogs and thought I'd put ONE on here.

We Might Have A Dancer On Our Hands...

I sat down to watch a little t.v. when I got home from work and for some reason Lexi was a'movin'!!! I grabbed my phone to get some footage and here's what I got...Watch for the butt punch at the end! She might be a dancer!

37 Weeks & Featured Mama

To start off, Jen over at A Girl in Pearls & A Boy With Toys has me featured today as her featured mama! Run on over and check out her blog! She's preggo, as well, and I love following along with her pregnancy! Thanks for the feature, Jen!

And now on to the weekly update. I haven't been blogging a lot lately mainly because for one I'm just tired, I haven't had much to blog about, and I've been trying to get things ready for my sub because my last day at work is FRIDAY! I am SO ready and cannot wait to be able to just hang out at home and get ready for Lexi to arrive! We are getting so close!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Around 26-27 lbs. Geez.
Gender: Girl, Lexi Belle
Movement: Her movements are pretty amazing now! I just love watching her. I know she is SO crammed in there since my torso is like 5 inches long. Poor little thing! I'm waiting to see a hand or foot press out! I 've seen pictures of that and think it would be SO COOL to see!
Stretchmarks: Nope, linea negra (sp) is here for sure!
Sleep: I've pretty much given up on a full nights sleep. Oh well, get ready for it, right?!
What I miss: Nothing really. The swelling is back so maybe normal sized ankles and feet. Now, my wedding ring :(
Cravings: Not much of anything.
Symptoms: Contractions, Braxton Hicks, swelling, Carpal Tunnel in my hands :(
Best Moment this week: I'm just looking forward to Friday! Last day of work! Also, we go back to the doctor for our weekly appointment on Wednesday!
Random Updates: I think we are pretty much ready for out little one. By ready I mean her bag is packed, her room is ready, and our bags are semi packed. It's just getting so real!

36 Weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: We go to the doctor Wednesday so I'll know then...I'm guessing around 30 :S

Gender: Girl, Lexi Belle

Movement: She is still pretty active. I think I can notice her slowing down a little. This weekend I think she was doing the worm in there!

Stretchmarks: Nope, linea negra (sp) is here for sure!

Sleep: Not so great. Some nights are better than others. It's just hard to get comfortable!

What I miss: Nothing. I'm just ready to have her here!

Cravings: Not anything special. I usually don't have a problem eating though :)

Symptoms: Swelling...swelling...swelling! I also have developed carpal tunnel in my hands. It is the worst in the morning, but they ache all day! I read online that it is normal later in pregnancy so I'm not too worried about it.

Best Moment this week: Installing the carseat in the car! We are ready for our little bean to arrive!

Random Updates: I have Lexi's bag packed but not ours! Yikes! I need to get on that!

34-35 Weeks

This is super late again...but Monday I will be 35 weeks! Not much has changed so I'm not going to do the whole long post on stats. Here is a pic...I feel huge...and my feet look like huge marshmallows...Only 5 more weeks!!!

What do you have in YOUR hospital bag?

As the arrival of Lexi gets closer, I'm starting to think of what I need to pack for the hospital. What should I pack for her? What should I pack for myself? As a first-time mom, you don't know exactly what will be essential during your stay in the hospital. You can assume, but I'm guessing there are some little secrets to making the stay as comfortable as possible. So, I thought I'd see what advice I could get on what to pack for the hospital.

Any advice?

Baby Shower #2

Today was my second baby shower! It was put on by one of my best friends from high school. She took the pink/brown theme and did a great job! A lot of family and friends came and it was a blast. Lexi received a ton of wonderful gifts and continues to be more and more spoiled every day! The food was great and the cake was hilarious! Kris had been planning this cake since before I was even pregnant! It was sooo cute and was a classic! Here are a few pictures from the day...I just want to thank Kris for putting so much into making it a great shower!

The food was great! There were great fruit trays, chocolate covered strawberries, veggie pizza, and cheese and crackers! It was all delish!

Then came the games....I had to eat 8 kinds of baby food and guess what kind it was.

My mom surprised me with this blanket. This is one of the few secrets she has kept for Lexi.

It turns out that she has been planning this out for some time now. She has never sewed a ton, but she wanted to make something for Lexi. She took a whole day off of work and spent the entire day working on this. Of course the planning took way more than a day. The whole story is pretty funny and I can't tell her how much it means for her to spend all of the time and work on it for Lexi. It was awesome and my favorite gift of all. It will be one that we use a lot!!!

It was a great day and Lexi is all set with more than she could ever need or want!

Now just 6 more weeks....and we will meet the little princess!

33 Weeks...(late update-34 weeks on Monday!)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Probably around 25? Not sure, go to the doctor on Monday!
Gender: Girl, Lexi Belle
Movement: Still moving a lot! They are getting painful due to her being so squashed in there..Poor little thing, where is she suppose to put those feet?
Stretchmarks: Nope, linea negra (sp) is here for sure!
Sleep: Sleep is so-so. Some nights, good...some nights, bad.
What I miss: Nothing really. The swelling is back so maybe normal sized ankles and feet.
Cravings: Nothing different. I still want a corn dog every now and again..I have no idea why.
Symptoms: I haven't had any more contractions, thank goodness. I have had some Braxton-Hicks, though. The swelling isn't as bad this week, thank goodness! I wish I knew exactly what was causing it...because I didn't do anything different this week!
Best Moment this week: Nothing major has happened this week. I have another baby shower tomorrow that I am really looking forward to. Then, we have a doctor's appointment on Monday!
Random Updates: Nothing really new going on. I did lay out Lexi's going home outfit and loaded the diaper bag. That was a weird feeling!! AHHH!!!

33/34 week Belly Pic:

Lexi is the size of a honeydew. Over 17 inches and 4.2 pounds!
