Today we have just been hanging around the house and it's great. I don't know about you, but I'm really starting to cherish these days at home. It seems like we are on the go all of the time!
Lexi Belle hit a major milestone last night. Because we love sleep and didn't stick to our guns since she was born, the little kicker has been sleeping with us for a LONG time. She is getting so big and loves to roll around, kick, pinch, scratch...yeah, you get the picture. SO, we decided we would try the "self-soothing" method last night. We put her in her pack and play at 8:30 in her room with Mickey on the TV. We gave her a bottle and we went in the living room to watch Cowboys and Aliens (which by the way sucked!). She fussed for about 40 minutes and then we heard the long-awaited silence. I went in and peeked at her and sure enough, asleep. Because her room is downstairs and ours is upstairs, I slept on the futon in her room...after all, this was the FIRST night of this. To our surprise, she slept ALL NIGHT BY HERSELF! It was great. I guess we will see what tonight brings when we try the same method. Cross your fingers for us!
I snapped these pics today while LB was playing in her pack and play. She is such a big girl!
While I had a few moments, I made some homemade granola. Found the recipe on Pinterest, which I am totally addicted to...along with the rest of the world...and it is yummy!
That's all I have for now...with Lexi crawling and pulling up to EVERYTHING, we pretty much just chase her around. It is just amazing on how fast they change!
Oh, the "da" part of my post title.
All Lexi wants to say is Da.
To me.
To Mickey Mouse.
To everything.
She always is wanting her daddy.
It is the sweetest thing I've ever seen.
(even though I'm a tad big jealous!)
HAPPY WEEKEND!
