Our Big One Year Old!

Well friends, it happened. Lexi Belle turned one! We had her big birthday party on Saturday and we all had a blast! She was so cute when everyone sang happy birthday to her. Her grammy had been singing to her for like 6 weeks to get her used to it. So, when everyone started singing, she just had the sweetest little smile on her face! Of course, she devoured her cake. That girl knew what to do! Ha! Like mother, like daughter I suppose. We had so much fun decorating and cooking for the party. We had so many family and friends there. It was just a great day!

Before I start with the pic overload, I wanted to give some stats on Miss Priss:

Lexi Belle:

weights 27 lbs.
wears 24 months- 2T clothing
Size 4-5 Shoe
Has hair long enough we can do good pigtails now
has 4 teeth on top and 2 on bottom
knows how to say dada, momma, dog (or don't, we really aren't too sure) and nawnaw
       * She is doing a LOT of jabbering, especially when she gets mad at us! Ha!
Has switched to whole milk and she loves it! (chocolate is her milk of choice, duh.)
Loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
Loves sausage biscuits with cheese from McD's (Yeah, I know, not hte best for her, but she loves them!)
Can do a high-five
Can hold up one finger when you ask her how old she is
LOVES the outdoors
starts to bounce when music comes on
...and many many other things....this is just what comes to mind right off of the top of my head.

She is such a fun little girl. Very rarely does she get upset.

AND SHE IS STARTING TO SLEEP ALL NIGHT! WITHOUT A BOTTLE!

SO now for pics...be prepared.

I can't wait to watch her grow and change even more in the next year! It is crazy how fast time goes and how much she has changed in just 1 short year!

Happy Birthday, Lexi Bella!

My First Mother's Day & Potosi Trip

This weekend we went back to Potosi for my FIL's 1 year Stem Cell Transplant Birthday cookout. There was a tone of Robert's family and friends there and we had a great day outside enjoying each other's company. It was great to finally meet a lot of Robert's family that I had yet to meet. It was a fun day had by all!

They had a little birthday cake for LB and you better believe she enjoyed it! The pics pretty much say it all!

And here wer are on my first Mother's Day with Lexi Belle!
Being a mom is the absolute best.
You never know how much you can love something until you are a mother.
